Often referred to as the “gemstone of the rainbow,” tourmalines are prized as one of the most diversely colorful gemstones. In fact, tourmalines have one of the widest color ranges of any gems, having various shades of virtually every hue. Tourmalines are also popular for its marked dichroism, meaning that depending on the angle at which you view your stones, the colors may be different or more or less intense. Tourmalines are known to help in the understanding of oneself, while increasing self-confidence.

Generally stable to light and isn’t affected by exposure to chemicals. High and or sudden temperature changes can cause color to alter or stone to fracture.

Warm soapy water is always safe. Do not put tourmalines in ultrasonic or steam cleaners.
